How to configure IP address for dB-NET digital audio matrix?

The dB-NET digital audio matrix is configured through its built-in web GUI interface — no separate software installation required.

Configuration steps for the dB-NET VIS-DSP series (8x4, 8x8, 12x12, 16x16):

Connect to the network — connect the dB-NET's Ethernet port to your LAN switch. The unit defaults to DHCP (automatic IP).

Find the IP address — check your router's DHCP client list, or use the VISSONIC device discovery tool (available from support). The default hostname format is typically "VIS-DSP-XXXX" where XXXX is the last 4 digits of the MAC address.

Access the web GUI — open any browser on a PC on the same network and enter the IP address (e.g., http://192.168.1.150).

Set a static IP (recommended for installed systems) — in the web GUI, go to Network Settings, switch from DHCP to Static, and enter your preferred IP, subnet mask, and gateway. Apply and reboot.

Default login — usually admin / admin (check the user manual for your specific model).

If the unit doesn't get a DHCP address:

Connect the dB-NET directly to a PC with an Ethernet cable

Set your PC's IP to the same subnet as the dB-NET's default fallback IP (check manual — typically 192.168.1.x)

Access the fallback IP directly in your browser

Configure your desired network settings and reconnect to the main network

Once configured, you can control all DSP parameters — EQ, compressor, matrix routing, feedback suppression — from the web GUI. The settings are saved to non-volatile memory and persist across power cycles.
