A single VISSONIC 5G WiFi access point can typically support 60-100 wireless conference units simultaneously, depending on the room environment and configuration.

The VIS-AP4C 5G WiFi Wireless Access Point operates in the 5 GHz band (not the crowded 2.4 GHz band used by most office WiFi), which provides cleaner spectrum and better reliability for conference applications.

    Key factors affecting capacity:

Physical environment — open halls allow more units; rooms with many metal surfaces or partitions may reduce the effective range and capacity

AP placement — ceiling-mounted in the center of the room gives best coverage. For very large halls (500+ seats), you can deploy multiple APs

Unit type — basic discussion units consume less bandwidth than touchscreen multimedia units. If you are mixing both types, plan for 40-60 mixed units per AP

Audio channels — each unit uses one audio channel; the 5G processor handles channel allocation automatically

For installations exceeding 100 units, simply add additional access points connected to the same VIS-WCP5G Wireless Conference Processor. The system handles roaming and channel management transparently.
