Unsolved Do conference units need a dedicated network switch?

For a digital conference system, is it better to use a dedicated Core Network Switch for the conference units?

Our IT team wants to connect everything to the existing office network, but I am worried about stability during meetings.

I would recommend a dedicated Core Network Switch for the conference system rather than sharing the office network.

Conference systems (especially paperless and voting) are sensitive to latency and packet loss, and other office traffic can cause instability right when you least want it — during a meeting. A dedicated switch isolates the AV network, keeps the data path predictable, and also simplifies PoE power and troubleshooting. Your IT team can still link the conference switch to the office network for management, while keeping the conference traffic separate.
