    Does it provide PoE power to paperless devices, or is it only for data communication?

      The Core Network Switch in the paperless system handles both data communication and PoE power. It provides power over Ethernet to PoE-capable paperless devices, which simplifies the cabling — one CAT cable carries both data and power to each unit.

      Whether a given paperless unit is PoE-powered or uses its own adapter depends on the model, but the core switch is there to feed power and data through the network backbone.
