Can the 16-Channel Digital Stage Box connect to the dB-NET 16×16 Digital DSP Audio Matrix?
We want to integrate a stage box into our audio matrix system.
Yes, the 16-Channel Digital Stage Box is designed to connect directly to the dB-NET digital audio matrix via digital audio networking.
The 16-channel digital stage box 16-Channel Digital Stage Box provides remote I/O for your dB-NET system:
16 analog inputs (XLR/TRS combo) with digitally controlled preamps — place the stage box near your microphones and instruments, then send all channels to the mixer over a single digital connection
Compatible with dB-NET series (VIS-DAP84, VIS-DAP88, VIS-DAP1212, VIS-DAP1616) — the digital audio protocol is native to the dB-NET platform
Long cable runs — digital audio over CAT5e/6 can run up to 100 meters without signal degradation, replacing heavy analog multicore cables
Typical setup:
Place the Stage Box on stage or at the input location
Connect all microphones and line sources to the stage box inputs
Run a single CAT6 cable from the stage box to the dB-NET matrix at the mix position
The dB-NET recognizes the stage box and all 16 channels appear as available inputs in the DSP matrix
Route, process, and mix from the dB-NET web GUI or control software
Multiple stage boxes can be connected to a single dB-NET matrix (within channel count limits), giving you flexible distributed I/O for large venues.
