We have a Video Conference AV Bridge but also want to do live streaming.
Do we need a separate Streaming Server, or does the AV bridge handle streaming?
They are two different devices with different jobs:
Video Conference AV Bridge — connects your conference audio/video into a video-conferencing call (USB/HDMI bridging to software like Zoom/Teams). It does not push a public stream.
Streaming Server — takes a source and encodes/pushes it to RTMP/RTSP endpoints or a web portal for live streaming.
So if you want to live-stream your event, you do need a separate Streaming Server. A typical chain is: conference system → AV bridge (for the meeting) and/or → streaming server (for the public live broadcast).
