    What cables are needed for a complete 5G WiFi Wireless Conference System installation?

    Do we need CAT5e cables between units, or is it truly wireless?

      The discussion units are truly wireless — they run on rechargeable batteries and connect over 5G WiFi, so there are no cables between units.

      What you do need:

      One 5G WiFi access point (VIS-AP4C) per coverage area, connected to the network switch by CAT5e/CAT6.

      The 5G WiFi Wireless Conference Processor, also connected to the switch.

      CAT5e cable runs only between the access point, processor and switch — not to each seat.

      This is the big advantage over wired systems: the table stays clean and the room can be reconfigured without recabling. Plan for VIS-WCH1 charger boxes to recharge the units' batteries between sessions.
